Niranjana is four. This means she likes to pick her nose. And eat it.
It is pretty gross, and no amount of Mommy groaning, "Nooooooooooooooooo!" will discourage Niranjana from feasting on her boogers. In fact, it just seems to encourage her.
I now have videotape of her picking her nose and eating it. On the video, I threaten to show it at her wedding. Don't think I won't.
So this afternoon while sitting through some systems training at work, I came across an interesting nugget of information: namely that an Austrian doctor believes that eating boogers actually is healthy because it can strengthen the body's immune system. Additionally, a finger can dig for more gold than simply blowing into a tissue, thus keeping an all-important body cavity cleaner.
If this is the case, then Niranjana should be the picture of health.
And don't get me started about her flatulence.

Here too...
Leif is doing this too big time right now. Just grosses me out! And if I say "eww gross" and pull his hand away he just thinks it is funny and goes to town even more!
Sometimes he gets an especially good "nugget" and feels the need to show it off. Lovely! Hope he kicks this habit before he gets to college... the girls will be SO impressed!
