Slowly but surely, Niranjana is getting taller. The doctor this month proclaimed her at 39 inches tall and weighing 32 pounds.
What? Only 32 pounds? I swear she's heavier — plus that was the same weight as her last visit in late December. She does eat, really. Of course, our rambunctious child burns it off by running, jumping, twirling, etc. Actor Steve Martin would be proud of her prat falls.
In December she was 38.25 inches tall. And I have sticky on my computer reminding me of where she was 13 months ago, when she was in India.
March 29, 2007: Niranjana, 36 inches tall, 28 pounds.
Really? Only 32 pounds now? We'll keep pushing the protein.

She's doing great!
Leif was weighed and measured at the doctor's Sunday. 43" and 35 lbs. Actually I told her he was 36 lbs, but was corrected. I still think their scale was off. ;-)
He grows in spurts. Just a few weeks ago Cate had a few inches on him and I would nearly swear that he had almost caught up with her again last week.
Don't worry!
Cate's grown maybe 2.5 inches in the last year and probably gained no more than 3-4 lbs. Their growth curve really tapers off as they get older. Actually, the 3" growth and 4 lbs gain you've seen in Niranjana is probably more than she would have grown in India, just because of the slightly higher nutrition she's getting here.
(My dad grew a couple inches when he moved from St. V. to Canada - and he was 23!!!)
