All Aboard!

We rode the J&S Express train in Columbia Park this weekend. Andy was the conductor, as his Kiwanis Club is responsible for the train. We took him lunch and Niranjana wanted to keep riding, so we went around four times.

She seemed quite taken with his job of yelling "All aboard!" and telling people when to wave at the cars. Andy said it was the most affectionate she's ever been to him in public.

It's one of the best deals in town. Tickets are 25 cents per child, 50 cents per adult, operating Noon to 5 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday, leaving from the blue bridge-side of the Playground of Dreams (next to the Family Fishing Pond).

The best part is, we went to the park and I didn't have to run after a 4-year-old the entire time! Then we went home and watched Polar Express during "quiet time."
