Over the past year, I've been meaning to work up the video we took while in India. With this week marking our one-year anniversary of traveling to Chennai to bring home Niranjana, I decided to put together this quick montage from our time there.
In it is the first moment we saw Niranjana as she was whisked by us into an office, then our first few moments with our daughter, including her singing, This is the Day that the Lord Has Made. When you see Niranjana's dress change to blue, that marks the second day, when we took her from the orphanage. The final little scene is the end of our third day in Chennai - and the first time she said, "Mommy" and "Daddy."

I can't quite figure out where the quiet little girl in the video went.
Wow the changes in a year are truly astounding. She looks so tiny in the video and I forgot what it is like to see her without a smile plastered from ear to ear. It is a very touching video.

I am sobbing - that was so precious. You have come so far in such a short time. You are raising a beautiful daughter, and you are both wonderful parents.
