That's what Niranjana did this morning. Her nose was runny, she reached for a Kleenex without being prompted, and blew her nose into the tissue. Woo hoo!
Seriously, folks. It sounds silly, but we've spent more than 13 months doing reactive runny nose wipe-ups. We figure the only way you could get attention in the orphanage was to blow your nose so the snot ran down your face and someone came running with a hankie. Finally, Niranjana appears able to take over this basic hygiene maneuver. Score another one for preschool social skills.

That's one of Suchitra's attention-getting techniques as well! She will reach for the Kleenex sometimes, but when peeved, she likes to blow extra hard - onto her face. Yuck!
