10 on the Giggle Scale

Disney's new show, Imagination Movers, rates a 10 on the Giggle Scale at our house. Initial episodes were such a hit with Niranjana (and Mommy) that we've been saving them on the DVR.

It's clever and colorful. They brainstorm for ideas, try out solutions for extreme situations that are funny yet realistic to a preschooler (we grew a pumpkin too big to fit out the door? let's turn it in to a pumpkin pie). They show respect and friendship for Uncle Nitt Nott, who only likes boring things.

And the music is great! Yes, I bought the Juice Box Heroes album on iTunes and sometimes that's what I use to wake up Niranjana (and therefore Andy, since I have to crank it in our room to reach into hers). It's got a beat you can dance to and developmentally supportive lyrics.

The only potential criticism is a lack of ethnic diversity, but the show really clicks with the cast/band, which has a great back story. Rich reminds me of our Uncle Alan, who really is a rock star.

I could go on, but instead I suggest that you watch it yourself. http://www.imaginationmovers.com/website/
