OK, so we got some clarification on how we pronounce our daughter's name.
When we first got her packet, we saw her name and pronounced it "near-ahn-JAH-nah." Then we heard her name on the video and have pronounced it "nur-AHN-jah-nah" for the past 11 months. For the past four days, we've gotten the feeling it was "nur-AN-jah-nah."
This afternoon, we visited the baby orphanage that was her first home, and the administrator corrected us: It's "nur-IN-jah-nah."
Glad we got that straightened out.

Congratulations on parenthood.
Your experience with her name is exactly what being a parent is all about. Just when you think you've figured out one thing ... it changes! Embrace change. Have a safe trip home.
Names and pronunciation
Hello to the Perdue family.
No matter how you pronounce her name, she's a lovely little girl and we look forward to meeting her in October. I 've eagerly awaited every new message and some have brought tears to my eyes! We are so happy for you.
Have a safe trip home.
Love to the three of you.

Andy and Melissa,
Kristina sent me the link to your blog...hope that's OK.
Your daughter is beautiful...love the photo of her sleeping! That made me nearly cry when I read she's already calling you Mommy and Daddy...I'm sure that melted your heart.
I can't wait until you all get home...maybe we could bring Ben by to meet her?
Blessings to your little family.

We are visiting in October---can't wait.
I've so enjoyed the updates, occasionally with a lump in my throat and a few tears in my eyes. It seems as though this time has gone far smoother than it could have.. You do realize, I hope, that I plan on being a " great aunt" or "grandma Lorna" or even "Cate's grandma". This way little gifts will be in order! Have a safe trip home.
Love to all three of you. Lorna
